Booked in for a piercing appointment? 💫

We have created a handy checklist, please read through this before your appointment, it’s designed to help you feel prepared and ensure your piercing can be carried out safely!



🔲Before Your Appointment


  • Have you eaten in the last 4 hours? 

    Please make sure you eat before your appointment. This helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels and reduces the chance of feeling faint.


  • Alcohol & substances 

    Please do not attend your appointment if you have consumed alcohol or recreational substances within the last 12 hours.



🔲Travel & Activities


  • Flying soon?

    If you’re flying in the near future, please let your piercer know, as this can affect healing.


  • Swimming

    Please avoid swimming in the ocean/sea or pools for 4 weeks after your piercing.



🔲Health & Medical 


  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding

    We will not provide a piercing service during pregancy or breastfeeding. We recommend waiting at least 3 months postpartum & after breastfeeding before getting pierced.

  • Medical conditions

    Please inform your piercer if you have any medical conditions that may affect piercing or healing, including but not limited to:

    Diabetes
    Epilepsy
    Hemophilia
    Heart conditions
    High blood pressure
    Blood thinning medication
    Autoimmune diseases
    Psoriasis
    Keloid Tendency 

If you are unsure, please discuss this with your piercer before your appointment.



🔲Jewellery Options


  • We pierce exclusively with jewellery from our sterilised in-store collection. Jewellery options will be available to view and choose from at your appointment.


  • We cannot pierce using:

    Jewellery brought from outside of A&M
    Jewellery previously purchased from A&M (in-store or online)


Our trained piercers will help select the most suitable jewellery for your anatomy and chosen piercing 💫



🔲Pricing


  • Jewellery is priced and sold per piece, not as a pair, here is a link to the collection

  • A piercing service charge applies
    £20/€25/$30



🔲Downsizing Service


  • Your piercing may require downsizing once swelling has reduced.

    Your piercer will advise if downsizing is required, along with timing and pricing, during your appointment.

  • Downsizing service:

    Available in-store only

    £25/€30/$35 per bar (solid gold or titanium)

    From 8mm to 6mm

    Up to 3 downsizes per appointment

    Please note:

    Not all piercings require downsizing

    Downsizing is only available for labret studs

    Hoops for Daith and Rook piercings cannot be downsized


Typical downsizing timeframe: 3–8 weeks, depending on healing and placement

We do not post downsizing jewellery, as changes must be done safely by our in-store piercers.



🔲 Age & ID Requirements


  • We must see valid physical photo ID at every piercing appointment. Photocopies or pictures of the ID are not accepted.

    Acceptable ID:

    Passport
    Driver’s / Provisional Licence
    UK PASS


  • Age guidelines:

    We do not pierce anyone under the age of 10

    Cartilage and nose piercings are 16+ only

    Ages 10 -15:

    Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

    Both must bring valid photo ID

    Consent form must be signed by the parent/guardian

    If the parent/legal guardian and child have different surnames, a birth certificate must also be provided

    Ages 16 -18:

    Can attend alone

    Must bring valid photo ID


These requirements are non-negotiable under our licence. We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule appointments if ID requirements are not met 💫



🔲Children, Guests & Pets


  • For health and safety reasons:

    Children under 9 are not permitted in the piercing room, please bring a trusted adult to supervise young children

    Friends or guests may not be allowed in the piercing room (at the piercer’s discretion)

    Pets are not permitted in the piercing room 🐶
